Whitetail Hunts
River’s Bend Trophy Outfitters has had tremendous success with our hunters harvesting bucks with an average Boone & Crocket score of 150". The opportunity to take a 190"+ buck is possible. Our bow hunters have experienced a success rate of 50%.
Hunting Properties
We have over 8,000 acres of prime whitetail country in Illinois that consist of agriculture fields, hardwood woodlots, ridges and river bottoms.
Stands and Blinds
We scout the land year-round to ensure that all stand locations are strategically placed for the best chance to harvest a trophy whitetail buck. The stands are a combination of both hang-on and metal ladder stands with the ladders being the majority of the stands. Our stands are maintained to ensure your safety and are placed long before the season begins. All stands are placed at heights between 14 ft. and 24 ft. depending on the location. All hunters are required to wear a safety belt or harness at all times while in the stand. This is a mandatory requirement to ensure your safety.
River's Bend also has several pop-up type blinds for those that request them or if the situation requires that type of set-up. If you would like to use your own hang-on, climber, ladder, or blind, you are welcome to bring it and your guide will place it for you.
The Hunt
Before your hunt can begin you will be required to sign a liability waiver and to present all necessary tags, license and stamps. During your hunt you will be assisted by a professional guide, with two on one guide service. He will place you in the very best spot for you to harvest a mature, whitetail buck. Our guides have over twenty years experience in hunting large trophy class whitetails. Your guide will help in tracking your deer, field dress it, transport it to the lodge and take it to the processor if required. With only eight hunters maximum per week, this gives the dedicated trophy hunter the personal attention he or she needs to have the chance to harvest the trophy of a lifetime.
