Illinois License & Tags
Though our hunters have never experienced a problem with acquiring tags, the state of Illinois DNR only allots a predetermined amount of deer tags for out-of-state hunters each year. Tags are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Deer Hunting
Hunter's are responsible for obtaining their own tags and license. Application for non-resident deer tags can be found on the Illinois DNR website at www.dnr.state.il.us. Or you may contact the Illinois DNR by phone: 1-888-673-7648.
Archery permit lottery application period will be from June 1 - June 30. Firearm permit applications will be available late July

Turkey Hunting
Turkey hunters need to contact the Illinois DNR about the application for turkey tags. You must submit an application for the county and dates you want to hunt.
